Dear Colleagues,

Invitation to 2012 International Occupational Therapy Conference "Advance and Challenges in OT on Children, Mental Health, Physical Health, Primary Health, Ageing and Wellness, Upper Limb and Technology"

The Hong Kong Institute of Occupational Therapy (HKIOT) was set up in 2002. We aim at promoting Occupational Therapy in Mainland China. We have been working closely with many partners in China to organize rehabilitation projects. In 2005, we organized the first international conference successfully in Qingdao. In the 2008 International Occupational Therapy Conference in Guangzhou, we had attracted over 300 participants from 9 different countries namely USA, UK, Australia, Canada, Kuwait, China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan.

This is the third time the HKIOT will organize the "2012 International Occupational Therapy Conference". We are pleased to have the Hong Kong Occupational Therapy Association, the Department of Rehabilitation Sciences of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University and the Chinese Association of Rehabilitation Medicine jointly organize the conference in Hong Kong on 24-26 February 2012. Also, the Taiwan Union of Occupational Therapists’Associations and the Macau Occupational Therapists Association have agreed to be the co-organizers.

The theme of the conference will be on "Advance and Challenges in OT on Children, Mental Health, Physical Health, Primary Health, Ageing and Wellness, Upper Limb and Technology". You are welcome to share your experience and your research work on the above topics. Besides, we will invite some eminent speakers to hold a few practical workshops on the mentioned theme.

We would like to extend our warm invitation to you in joining this international conference to demonstrate the spirit of Occupational Therapist in two straits and four places (Hong Kong, China, Taiwan and Macau) and promulgate our aim of promoting Occupational Therapy service in Mainland China.

Yours Sincerely,
